Skea's Guide: Oktoberfest

In case you needed a Weisen to party this weekend.... Oktoberfest is BACK in full swing this weekend in Colorado! Whether you hail from the North, South, East, or Western parts of our beautiful state, there is a Stein waiting for you this weekend. Oktoberfest not your style? Check out our last blog on the top Leaf Peeping hikes to visit in Colorado.

1. Denver Oktoberfest

Dever Oktoberfest weekend #2 is back this weekend! If you are looking for some front range hangs, and are not ready to give up the Summer weather, check out the Denver Oktoberfest! The Denver Oktoberfest has been a staple two weekend festival in Downtown Denver since 1969. From keg bowling to stein hoisting, live music and more, there’s something here for Oktoberfest pro’s and first timer’s.

Skea Outfit Tip: High 80's are in the forecast this weekend in Denver, so break out your Skea Angelic (15") or Blissful (18") skort to pair with your beer pairings.

2. Golden Oktoberfest

Presented by Yo Colorado (Hey, Neighbor!),  the 1st Annual Wild West Oktoberfest, benefitting the Golden Civic Foundation and For the Good of Golden! After 30 years of being put out to pasture, YoColorado has partnered with some of Golden’s favorite and most iconic businesses and organizations to bring back this beloved Bavarian-style festival (with an added Wild West twist) and celebrate our community with games, live music, great food, and of course, BEER!

Skea Outfit Tip: Be prepared for all the events at this inaugural Oktoberfest in our stomping grounds, make your lederhosen with the Skea Visionary (11") Short which has excellent movement, wrinkle resistance and breathability so you just have to worry about filling your Stein.

3. Royal Gorge 'Route Railroad- Oktoberfest

If you are more of a sit and drink a Prost, while taking in gorgeous views, kind of Oktoberfest goer, Celebrate Oktoberfest September 8th through October 21st aboard the 12:30 Lunch Train, 3:30 Afternoon Train and 6:30 p.m. Dinner Train! Choose your class of service, then add on our special Oktoberfest entree while booking your journey in order to enjoy this wonderful German specialty (it will not be available a la Carte aboard the train). Our fully stocked bar, featuring Oktoberfest beers, will also be open throughout your journey.

Skea Outfit Tip: Pair your Prost with the Skea Aprés Sweater as you take in the scenic majestic soaring views of the Royal Gorge while seated in an elevated, partially glass-domed car in our most comfortable booth seating.

4. Breckenridge Oktoberfest

If you are looking for the traditional Oktoberfest experience this weekend, look no further than the 26th Annual Breckenridge Oktoberfest. The 26th annual Breckenridge Oktoberfest Presented by Breckenridge Brewery mixes time-honored Oktoberfest traditions with collectible steins and local flavors from Breckenridge Brewery, this year’s premiere beer sponsor.

Skea Outfit Tip: The weather may be more like a Fall weekend up in Summit County this weekend, so your lederhosen will need a extra layer of warmth- the Skea Cosmic Vest, will provide water-resistant (or beer resistant) protection,  and is insulated with lightweight compressible capability so you can throw it in your bag.
