Birthday: May 20
What athlete do you look up to? My dad, now in his 80's and still skis. He was one of those multi-sport high school athletes who not only taught me to ski as soon as I could walk, but also supported and encouraged me to reach high in skiing in subtle ways that I only recognize now, as an adult. He's still my role model on the hill and in life.
Where do you get fashion inspiration? I'm a mountain gal at heart. I find inspiration in my natural surroundings, but I also peek at Vogue and take a stroll down 5th Avenue in NYC now and again. When a brand combines themes like outdoorsy, sporty, and resort lifestyle with feminine, classy touches (like SKEA), I want it in my luggage 'cause I'll wear it everywhere!
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Trekking the Altai Mountains in Mongolia or photographing wildlife in the Galapagos Islands and penguins in Antarctica
Favorite SKEA piece: Any down jacket with fur around the collar, also the Cargo Pant
Skiing Accomplishments: In 1991, I swept my age group for the first time at the U.S. Alpine Masters Championships (Vail) winning the slalom, GS, downhill and combined. I've won close to 100 masters titles since then, also spent time on the U.S. Ski Team, Dartmouth Ski Team and women's pro tour, founded "Your Turn" women's ski events raising $120,000 for breast cancer research thanks to sponsors of the program
